Konkan Krushi Vidyapeeth

Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth is an agricultural university at Dapoli in Ratnagiri district of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It was established on May 18, 1972 as Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, and got its present name on February 12, 2001.

Karde-Murud

Located on the rugged Konkan coastline, Murud is a small town about 11km from Dapoli. A long, scenic stretch of a beach with swaying palms and a beautiful, ancient Durga Devi temple are its primary attractions. It is also known as Murud - Harnai.

Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve, who established the first Indian University for women (SNDT), hailed from Murud. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1958.

Panhalekaji Caves

Panhalekaji, the famous rock-cut caves are situated on the bank of the river Kotjai which further meets the Dabhol creek. These historical manmade caves are believed to be more than 1000 years old and are the great examples of ancient cultural and architecture. There are a total 29 rock cut-caves, both big and small spread along the river bank. You can find Buddhist as well as Hindu religious rock hewn sculptures similar to Anjantha caves.

Unhavare

The delightful Unhavare village is famous for its natural hot springs. It is nestled deep in the heart of a beautiful valley on the bank of a picturesque river and is surrounded by undulating hills, majestic forest and rolling farm land.The boiling spring water bubbles up from deep inside the earth and cascades down into a series of three rock pools and gets cooled by a breeze coming from the river.
